Follow us on our mini bike tour to a children´s summer camp. We ride a Larry vs Harry Bullitt cargo bike and also have a BOB Yak trailer fully loaded. I estimate total weight, including passengers and cargo, was a total of 180kg.
I am running my 250W front hub motor and a 17Ah 36V battery on this trip. The total distance to our destination turned out to be 44km. A 17Ah battery will in many cases be marketed as a +100km battery. In this video we will show you how far this battery took us in a real life situation.

A very nice video, That is a nice rig for sure. I have 2 DIY ebikes one 48 volt and the other 36 volts, My wife and I travel about 22 miles round trip on the weekends (weather permitting) and we love the quiet ride and exercise we get. Thanks for sharing
Quick questions, I am in the US and unfortunately ciclotek does not send parcels out this way. Did you build this from scratch or use on of the kits? Trying to piece together a kit like yours for daily commute of 21 miles one way so 41 miles total. I just want the assist not full throttle as I need to cut some weight. Lol.
Shouldn't your bms cut out at 36v,you may damage cell's?
Awesome
can you change gear whilst using the electric assist?
when you say full assist you mean you are in the highest assist mode but assist means you are pedaling along with it right? if your not then your just using throttle and would def get less range without helping it.
can i ask what your battrys voltage range is (min-max)
Thank you for sharing! Great video, too. Speaking Finnish or Estonian?
look good…
Great video. Thanks for posting!
looked like a fun daddy, daughter day.
my little one and would do the same but on a motor scooter, the bicycle looks alot more fun
RREALLY? the 2 wheel hall kids trailer too Heavy? I know it 2 wheel more heavy but.. I think about put big solar panel on that because it's like Rectangle. I can put more batteries and stuff on it and tow it.
A very nice video.. ur little girl is a darling! 🙂
Thanks for the video! Felt like I was cycling with you guys across the beautiful Finland!
Nice video, thanks for the effort of putting it together. I also have a regular Bullitt (27 external gears) that I use every day to take my dog to work (34km return trip). I'm hoping to get the newer MTB e-Bullitt later this year for longer trips to the mountains so it was interesting to watch your video. I might have to buy a couple of extra batteries, just in case 🙂 Thanks again.
A crazy looking setup, definitely not what I am used to. but It looks very practical. I am curious is your motor 500w?
i really like that trailer, where did you get it?
Great vid – thx
I carry my daughter too. She sleeps every time. I think children really like riding on big bicycle with their parents.
Very much enjoyed your stuff, clear, interesting and informative. My comment earlier was really a concern with the bumps and percussive forces on a young persons neck and spine whilst in a twisted position. Obviously dad is in a position to judge but the comfy position offered whist stationary would certainly be more attractive to a young person. Hope to see more of you vids soon. Best wishes
Poor Josephine, turn her round so she can see without twisting around. Otherwise great!
