Been doing a lot of thinking about the e-bike and I feel like announcing that version 2.0 of the #BMX #ebike is in the works and will greatly expand the performance of this bike you see here. Stay tuned. @evnerds @ebike_eu

Post it on @evnerds Explain in text what are you doing
@evnerds I build custom motorcycles and wanted something to take me between my apartment and my workshop – it’s only about 2.5 miles. E-bikes caught my eye and thought I would build a little ripper that could fit in the elevator and not fuss the neighbors but also be nimble enough to take full advantage of the urban topography that Chicago has to offer.
So I built this… it was a cheap frame I found locally, and I shoved a 1500w hub motor in it. It required a bit of frame modification and other work, but it goes and stops reallllly well. I built it in August and rode it until it was too cold. In fact, my motorcycles got less action because I had so much fun with this thing every day.
However, there are a bunch of things I’d like to improve on this – mainly rider/frame geometry. So I spec’d a custom frame with all of my own dimensions and I’m building the new one now. Same concept that you see here, but will address strength, rider ergonomics, handling and will get a major visual lift. And there is carbon fiber involved…
