I have to admit that I have been in doubt and quite skeptical about electric bikes. That is why it took me some time before I even tested the Currie electric bike. The reason for this particular brand was that my neighbor bought one and now I finally got my chance to try it out. This article is a Currie electric bike review and also my thoughts about electric bikes in general.

I really liked my first drive and ended up with a similar bike as my friend. Soon enough I discovered three new benefits that I never could have even thought of. With this vehicle I would get more exercise, save money and even donate to a less polluted world. These are big worlds so let me explain each of them a bit more.

To be honest I thought that using a motorized bike was kind of cheating. For me biking was a way to exercise and if I used one with an engine, then that part was gone. However, in just a few days I noticed how wrong I had been. I actually exercise a lot more now with the Currie EZip, than I did before. Probably this is because I now feel safer. I can make longer trips as I know that I have the extra help if I get tired. Another reason could be that it's a lot of fun.

What about saving money?

For me this is a major part as I now use my EZip Trailz for everyday commuting. I calculated that in only 5 months I had the bike paid with the money I saved by buying less gas to our car. Ok, I did not add the cost for the battery charging in this, but anyway it has made some major savings in our family. Actually I recharge the battery at work whenever it is possible.

The last part of my benefits list is probably the most important one. Whenever we see a possibility to act eco friendly, we also should do so. If I do not use my car for daily commuting, it does not make much of a difference. The miracle will happen when thousands upon thousands do the same. It would not be fare to our children if they could not enjoy the ride of a Currie electric bike because the air is too polluted.

Is there anything that I do not like with the bicycle?

There is always something that could be better. One thing that I think could be an issue is the weight of the bike. This can be a problem if you are older or disabled. The weight is however also something positive as the bike feet quite steady when driving. If you find this to be a problem, you could try to look for another more light weight battery pack. The battery pack is actually removable which is good.

I am really happy with my comfort bike and I hope you have enjoyed my Currie electric bike review.
